Dr Gail Gauvreau is a Professor in the Division of Respirology at McMaster University. Her academic and clinical research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of inflammation in asthma, with an emphasis on translating mechanistic insights into therapeutic advances.
Dr Gauvreau is also Co-Director of the Clinical Investigator Collaborative, a Canadian academic platform that designs and conducts first-in-asthma clinical trials. These trials provide essential proof of mechanism and early efficacy data to support the clinical development of investigational medications for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Through this role, she plays a pivotal role in advancing innovative therapies for airway disease, has published extensively on allergic asthma and airway inflammation, and is a recognised contributor to international respiratory research.
