Professor Eugenio De Corso, MD, PhD, serves as an Adjunct Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and as an ENT specialist at the A. Gemelli University Hospital Foundation IRCCS in Rome.
His primary research interests lie in rhinology, with a focus on chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), type 2 inflammation, and the application of biologic therapies. Professor De Corso has led several clinical studies evaluating innovative treatments for severe uncontrolled CRSwNP with and without comorbidities.
Professor De Corso has authored over 180 peer-reviewed publications and has held editorial roles, including Associate Editor of Acta Otorhinolaryngologica Italica.
Professor De Corso is a Member of the Executive Board of the Italian Academy of Rhinology; EAACI (European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology), the Italian Rhinologic Society, the Italian Society of Otorhinolaryngology, the Commission on Biologic Drugs, the Rhinology Committee of the Italian Society of Otolaryngology, and EUFOREA (European Forum for Research and Education in Allergy and Airway Diseases). Professor De Corso co-chairs the CRSwNP expert group within EUFOREA and is Treasurer of the European Rhinologic Society (ERS-ISIAN).
